India's Inflation Falling does not bode well for growth.... August 2014 WPI inflation eased to 3.74% Vs 5.19 MoM. Normally you would expect industry and markets to rejoice. But sadly we live in an Emerging Economy with dire need of funds for growth. Lower inflation will force the RBI Governor's hand to lower interest rates which will make investing in India less attractive. Lower fund flows will inturn fuel disinflation and need I say more. Banks are going to have a problem with deposit growth which determines their loan growth. The next 18 months would be interesting! ECB needs to start QE soon to help Emerging Markets like India.

Rules are meant to be broken! Living in Gurgaon. Coming from the diagonally opposite part of the country I see how it would be difficult to adjust. All along, we south indians are brought up with the moral obligation of following rules. Here rules are for sissies. Meant to be bent or broken. Interesting perspective!

It won't stop! I'm sorry!

8 months away from writing! Felt like I missed something! It was not too bad. Things have changed. For good, and for sad.

We live in interesting times and I guess its worth sharing experiences!

Watched "The Matrix" again after a long time. Enjoyed it.

This is the end! My friend!

All good things have to come to an end!

I felt really good putting up this blog and reading it myself. Not sure how many others read this blog. But it was really relaxing to return home everyday and jot something down. Something which I felt I could share, something which i wanted my friends to read. Something for the records.

Now, that I am not able to update it regularly because of other commitments, I have decided to put this blog to sleep. I will, however, try to keep my site updated. Do drop in a mail, when you find time.

Basic Instinct 2

I was wary of this sequel. Like all sequels i thought this one too would sputter. But to my surprise, i think this was one of the best sequels I had ever watched.

It did exceed my expectations. Sharon Stone was at her ever best playing the cool, seductive killer and Dan Morrisey in the lead role as a Psychiatrist fits in quite well. Every plot had a twist and the final twist was the mother of it all.

Don't miss it.

Nice Song

Both Sides, Now

by Joni Mitchell

Rows and floes of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons ev’rywhere
I’ve looked at clouds that way

But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on ev’ryone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It’s cloud illusions I recall
I really don’t know clouds at all

Moons and junes and ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As ev’ry fairy tale comes real
I’ve looked at love that way

But now it’s just another show
You leave ’em laughing when you go
And if you care, don’t let them know
Don’t give yourself away

I’ve looked at love from both sides now
From give and take, and still somehow
It’s love’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know love at all

Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say I love you right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I’ve looked at life that way

But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I’ve changed
Well something’s lost, but something’s gained
In living ev’ry day

I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all

I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all
